What is a Çadır-ı Hazine?
These tent models are also known as otağ-ı asafi, pasha tent, and divan tent, and in ancient Ottoman times, they were tents exclusive to viziers. They are also called
yörük tents and are magnificent tents with several poles set up over a very wide area, decorated with canopies embroidered inside and out like sultan's tents, with walls and ceilings made of double-layered fabric, and featuring windows and curtains. The surrounding area is also covered with a canvas enclosure made of tent fabric. The çadır-ı hazine is known as the tent where the Ottoman state's treasures were kept during wartime. The çadır-ı hazine has always held a large and important place in the Ottoman state. These tents, differentiated by today's technology, are frequently used as places for people to stay, as entertainment restaurants, and as tea houses. Like yörük tent models, they are handmade by weaving and are quite durable and long-lasting.
Sultan's Hair Tent
Sultan's hair tents come into our lives from the Ottoman era and are also known by all these names such as Ottoman sultan's tent, goat hair sultan's tents, sultan yörük tent, etc. Also called otağ-ı asafi, pasha tent, and divan tent, these models were always primarily used exclusively for viziers. They have very broad features, being cool in the summer and warm in the winter, adapting to all climatic conditions, and due to being made from goat hair, they do not harbor any pests.
