Grease Duct Chimney Cleaning

Grease Duct Chimney Cleaning

What are Motorized Chimneys?

Grease chimney ducts consist of 2 parts, and chimneys that draft in natural environments are examined as chimneys that draft with motor power. Chimneys that continue to operate with natural environments are usually places and areas such as ovens, saunas, Turkish baths, etc. These types of chimneys must be cleaned at least 3 times a year, and a chimney report document must also be obtained. If solid fuels are used in motor-drafted chimneys, filter systems must be used. At the same time, a fire damper must be installed, otherwise the motor will be damaged. It causes frequent chimney fires. Standard grease chimneys are generally between 20 and 25 cm in diameter, and control covers should be provided at the direct sections at 3-meter intervals by wrapping the parts remaining within the building with glass. Cleaning and maintenance of all these chimney types must be done at regular intervals each year, and a chimney report document must also be obtained.

What is a Damper?

In case of possible chimney fires or ignitions, it most effectively prevents the spread and distribution of the fire by cutting off the airflow of the chimneys. It is available in two ways, automatic and manual, and in automatic systems, mercury is present, heat movements increase, mercury bursts, and the damper engages. Manual systems are generally preferred in ovens, and since ovens cool down quickly, the damper is partially closed to prevent cooling. Chimney reports and chimney cleaning procedures must be carried out for all types of chimneys.
