BLS International Portal and Residence Separation in the Spain Visa Application Process

Financial Sufficiency and Daily IPREM Thresholds in the Spain Visa Application Process

The Kingdom of Spain, one of the most visited Schengen countries on the Iberian Peninsula, processes its visa procedures through its official intermediary, BLS International. Holders of ordinary (burgundy) passports who wish to travel to Spain from Turkey for tourism, business meetings, or cultural events are required to apply to the correct center according to the regional jurisdiction limits set by the Spanish Consulate. Marina Vize manages the entire bureaucratic process, from file preparation to intermediary institution appointment, ensuring your application progresses securely by preventing authorization confusions and document errors. At BLS application centers, which are divided according to the jurisdiction areas of the Istanbul Başkonsolosluğu or the Ankara Embassy, the residence document (e-Devlet place of residence statement) is meticulously checked, and applications made from the wrong province are canceled directly without being processed.

BLS Appointment and Biometric Fingerprint (VIS) Registration for Spain Visa Application

The Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs bases its assessment of the financial situation of foreign visitors entering the country on the IPREM (General Index for Income of Public Purposes) index and applies daily minimum spending limits updated annually. The bank account statement, signed and stamped, for the last 3 months submitted by the applicant must contain the minimum amount set by the consulate (a certain minimum balance in total, even for very short travel durations), regardless of the number of days to be spent in Spain. The bank account should show a consistent movement in line with regular salary payments and registered income; large cash deposits into the account before the application, the source of which cannot be documented, may be considered suspicious by the consulate and form grounds for refusal. After creating an online application record through the BLS International platform, an appointment is scheduled after verifying passport and identity information. Applicants who do not have fingerprint records (VIS sticker) given for another Schengen country within the last 59 months and registered in the system are required to be present at the BLS center in person at the appointment time to complete the biometric photo and 10-fingerprint scanning procedures. After submitting the documents in order to the BLS officials and paying the fees, the application is forwarded to the Spanish Consulate for evaluation.
