Types of Underfloor Heating
What is an Underfloor Heating System?
Humans have had the need for shelter and heating since ancient times, and people cannot continue their lives without meeting these needs. Floor heating, produced and implemented with today's technology, is a system brought to life using materials such as underfloor heating styrofoam, water pipes, electric cables, and collectors.
Electric Cable and Water Pipe Underfloor Heating Systems
Underheating systems are based on the principle of heating the space from below. The system provides heating with water pipes or electric cables laid on the floor. It is a method used to heat many indoor or outdoor areas such as residences, villas, houses, baths, sports fields, roofs, hotels, schools, and more. While this system is applied for heating purposes in indoor areas, it is used to prevent snow and ice in outdoor areas. For a space to be heated from the floor, either an electric cable that converts electricity to heat or a water pipe must be laid under the screed. In electric cable and water pipe heating systems, materials such as underfloor heating styrofoam, collector, thermostat, bar, clip, and especially water pipes or electric cables are used. The electric underfloor heating system is used in all residences as well as in baths, sports fields, gardens and greenhouses, swimming pools, places of worship, animal shelters, hotels, schools, and business centers. The water pipe heating system is mostly used in residences and indoor areas.
