How Many Exam Attempts Do Candidates Have?

The driver's license exam is an exam organized by the Ministry of National Education and is held at certain intervals. The exam dates are announced on the Ministry of National Education's website. After determining the exam date they wish to take, candidates must attend a driver's license course, which is a preparatory course for the exam. The driver's license course is also an education provided in ministry-approved centers. In theoretical lessons, candidates are equipped with knowledge on topics such as first aid, engines, and highway laws, while in driving lessons, the necessary infrastructure is created for the candidate to be able to drive in traffic. If they wish, candidates can take additional driving lessons for a certain fee before the exam. All of these are subject to the fee determined within the scope of the driving school regulation. Candidates have 4 exam attempts for the written, i.e., theoretical exam, and 4 attempts for the driving exam. Candidates who fail within these attempts earn another 4 exam attempts, provided they re-enroll in a course. Candidates who pass the written exam but fail the driving exam can use their 4 exam attempts by attending a course again and taking driving lessons.
