Cargo TransportationThe globalization of today's world has caused the transportation sector to grow rapidly and meet the needs of the era. Today, goods, archives, documents, fruits and vegetables, and even animals can be transported from one corner of the world to another. The sector that makes all of this possible is the transportation and logistics sector. Transportation, in its simplest terms, is the movement of people, goods, and documents from one place to another. The main goal of the transportation and logistics sector is to respond to the demand for transportation and to fulfill this demand in the shortest possible time. Cargo transportation constitutes one of the important pillars of the transportation sector. Cargo transportation is gathered under two main headings: international and domestic. While international cargo transportation covers the transportation of all kinds of loads, cargo transportation in Turkey covers loads below a certain weight.
Domestic Transportation and Cargo TransportationCargo is a term mostly used for single-piece loads not exceeding one hundred kilograms. Cargo services are provided in our country by air, land, and sea routes. Cargo transportation is carried out in accordance with a specific procedure. Cargo types are legally defined. Accordingly, cargo is divided into three types: cargo that is strictly prohibited from being transported, cargo to be transported with a undertaking, and transportable cargo.
